 Where is the tool?
Please bookmark the iDecide Dashboard page in the first email you receive. It will be where you can access iDecide and where you can copy the signup link to share with your families. Since this is a prototype, it's not linked anywhere on the site currently. Once we're done with this pilot, we plan to include iDecide within our new Birth Professional membership.

How do I use iDecide?
At the bottom of the iDecide Dashboard page, we have a few helpful case studies about how you can use it, but honestly we're more interested in how YOU use it! The key to this pilot is to have you play around and give us feedback so we can create bedside education that is practical for both providers and families.

Do I need any extra hardware to use iDecide?
iDecide is accessible on any device connected to the internet. While you can definitely use it on a phone, the illustrations and graphics would be easier to read on a monitor or tablet, however this is not necessary. You can also give access to your families so they can use it on their own devices.
*Please note: Some hospitals use very old versions of Internet Explorer. These browsers are no longer updated by Microsoft and sometimes the page looks wonky, especially on our parent app for birth plans.

How do I give my families access?
Your families will need to set up their own free account for iDecide. On the iDecide Dashboard will be a link to share with families where they can sign up. You can also directly link to certain portions of the content, for example postpartum discharge info, however they MUST have signed into their account first or the link will be locked for them.

I'm concerned that my families will be given information out-of-context to their individual health.
That is definitely a valid concern. When your families sign up for iDecide, they are made to check a box that they acknowledge this is an education tool and does NOT replace a conversation with their provider regarding diagnosis or treatment.

How are you protecting my family's privacy?
We only collect name and email address when they sign up, no medical info whatsoever. By opting-in to iDecide, families check a box that says they are consenting to allow us to reach out to them regarding their experience. They can opt out of communications at any time.

I have colleagues that want to be in on the pilot. How do I invite them?
Send them to this page and have them sign up!
